Abstract:
The article attempts to discuss the question of sources of Karol Wojtyla’s personalistic ethics and philosophy. The main discussion about sources of Wojtyla’s ethics and philosophy is conducted between Thomistic philosophers and phenomenologists. We can find an announcement of this combination of Thomism and phenomenology in his first theological and philosophical inspiration, i.e. in the mysticism of Saint John of the Cross where a philosophy of object meets with the philosophy of the subject.
