dc.description.abstract	The place and role of cryptocurrency in the world economy is clarified in the article; the importance of new technologies in the development of economic systems is substantiated. Options for the use of cryptocurrencies as financial instrument and new technologies that can improve and ensure data protection in the global financial system are worked out. The cryptocurrency market and its capitalization is analyzed and the main negative sides of its functioning as a payment and investment instrument are identified.	en_US
