dc.description.abstract Digital technologies are a constant phenomenon in everyone's daily life and are present in more and more areas of our lives. The public administration sector is no exception. In fact, new technologies allow public administrations to manage their services with higher quality and efficiency both in the provision of services and in the use of public sector resources. The application of the electronic document management system in public administration bodies determines a qualitatively new level of public interaction, allows to perform management functions more quickly and efficiently. Summing up, we note that the implementation of electronic document management system requires integrated planning, otherwise it will not give significant improvements and even disrupt effective "manual" processes. In this scenario, the benefits of single window and single office concepts for digital information flow should be used to reduce costs as well as improve processes and service quality. This will ensure electronic interaction with citizens, service providers and officials, which will make administrative processes more transparent. en_US
