Northern Azov basin as a contact zone of Middle Bronze Age’s cultures. – In the Middle
Bronze Age the Northern Azov region, and more widely – the Azov-Donets region, was a zone of intercultural contacts. This is most clearly manifested in the middle and late Catacomb periods when these territories were mastered by the bearers of Donets, Dnieper-Azov and Bakhmut cultural traditions. Postkotakomb time, in general, retains the previously laid down tendencies, demonstrating the proximity and partial overlap of the
Dnieper-Don and Dnieper-Prut Babyne Cultures.
